Important Dates
Target Audience
Everyone is welcome to apply to OxML 2021 regardless of their origin, nationality, and country of residence.
-
Our primary target audience are (1) postgraduate students (PhD and MSc) with good technical background whose research topics are related to ML, plus (2) researchers and engineers in both academia and industry with similar/advanced levels of technical knowledge.
-
All applicants are subject to a selection process; we aim to select strongly motivated participants, who are interested in broadening their knowledge of the advanced topics in the field of ML/DL and their applications.
Selection Process
We want to ensure an engaging and diverse audience. OxML participants are selected using a scoring system. The scoring system favours applicants who have more relevant technical knowledge, and whose research areas are closer to the scope of the Summer School. Our key objective is to contribute to more democratic development in AI (across geographies, industries and underrepresented [in tech] segments of the society); this will lead to additional selection criteria in addition to skills and personal statement in the application form.
Certificate
A certificate of participation in the School will be delivered indicating the number of hours of lectures/workshops. Please refer to FAQ for more information about the certificates.
